Who Can Register to Vote:
In order to vote, you must be a United States citizen and at least 18 years old by Election Day. To register to vote in California, you must also be a California resident.
How to Register:
When it comes to registering, all you need to do is fill out a voter registration form. These forms are available in print or online. When you register to vote online, you'll need your California driver license or identification card number, the last four digits of your social security number, and your date of birth. If you'd like to fill out a paper registration form, you can find them at your local elections office or Department of Motor Vehicles office. Additionally, you may be able to find a form at your local library, post office, or government office, or you can request that a paper application be mailed to you by your county
elections office.
Registration Deadline:
When it comes time to register, you have to cross your T's and dot your I's sooner than later. Start early when it comes to registering so that you get your registration in before the deadline. In California, ensure that you get your registration submitted electronically or postmarked by October 24, 2016.
